Bye Bye Blackberry...

So after years of use and loyalty I’ve made the jump to the very cool iPhone. It goes without saying that I am a gadget guy. I love new shiny toys. The iPhone delivers, but has still has some issues for the power user.

For those of you considering the purchase here are the cold, hard facts.

What's working for me:

  • The Interface is awesome
  • iTunes
  • Video capabilities are fantastic
  • Applications – tons of fun stuff (love Texas Hold 'em). I see lots of cool things coming.
  • Safari Browser is as good as it gets
  • Keyboard is not an issue and is actually pretty easy

What's causing me pain:

  • It still lacks key business-user functionality. Blackberry still owns the space. Apple is coming but not there yet.
  • No email search.  I get hundreds of emails a day and it’s a major pain.
  • Outlook integration is great but I have 15,000 contacts and it really slows things down and is almost not functional.
  • No meeting maker functionality. You can’t create a meeting on the iPhone and invite others.
  • No cut and paste.

The iPhone is gaining share and coming strong. Lookout Blackberry - you better be innovating.

Robert,

I just purchased my first iphone, but it won't arrive for another week. I was concerned with the business functionalities of the phone, but I think all of the other applications will make up for it.

From one athlete to another, I apprecaite your personal insights!

Now Iphone is the best I http://www.estetiks.com/ think.Bye blackberry.

My only real problem with google analytics is that it doesn’t work very well with a lot of ASP pages, which a lot of clients use nowadays. It can also get kind of hairy when trying to get it to understand what a conversion is. :D Instead of just any click, it needs to be one specific click haha.

Thank you very very good
