Growth is great
Naturally, we really enjoyed the eMarketer report on “Sports Sites Score Big” from late July. So much so, we bought a copy.
We, too, are seeing lots of new sites continue to pop up. Today, there are tens of thousands of vertical sites in all major sports categories, both fan and participant. And the fragmentation of domain experts in vertical sports will continue to rise. Best of all, the power of the Internet will only continue to grow as barriers to entry get lower and lower each day.
There is amazing content out there, and advertisers continue to search for ways to connect with highly engaged and loyal users. So, everybody wins - the consumer, advertiser and publisher.
